The last 2 weeks have been...well busy. As some of you know my husband ripped several things in his ankle (ouch, ouch, ouch and I have pictures) and needed surgery. They got him in pretty darn quick! He is doing nicely and recuperating on the couch with crutches, pain pills, lots of liquid and helpful cats. But as I pull out all of the glass art I have created and stashed away for POST, I am finding that crutches, pain pills, helpful cats and glass don't mix all that well in one room, no matter how much space you thought you had. Ah well, just a few more days.... So what is POST? What is this thing I have been madly creating for? POST (Philomath Open Studio Tours and art sale) is when local artists open their studios to the general public. On the free, self-guided, tour artists are available to discuss their processes and show work that may never have been on public display. Art is available for sale and POST is on its 12th year! This year POST will feature 36 artists and 15 studios. The Tour starts this Saturday, October 25 and Sunday October 26 from noon to 5 both days and continues again on Saturday November 1 and Sunday November 2. Plenty of time to visit all of the artists. But...not all of the studios are just studios. As one of the guest artists this year, I will be at Spindrift Wine Cellars with Kris Mitchell and Doyle Leek's art (another person recovering from body part surgery-sigh, hope it is not contagious!) As you can imagine at Spindrift they have wine! Drinking a bit of wine and shopping for art, what could be lovelier? I sure hope to see you there. Downloadable POST map here.

Hi there, some folks have asked me to alert them of what is happening and active in my art world more consistently. So I have provided an easier way for you to find out than having to check my blog to see if anything is new. If you would like to be alerted by email, check on the link on the right side of the Blog page and subscribe, please. I don't post very often so you won't get a lot of emails but this should be handier. Thank you.
